Asian Economies Face Risk
In a recent communicate the Asian Development Bank Assured that the economies in its region face “much greater downside risks” because the possibility of a recession in Europe and the United States and the threat of destabilizing capital flows. According to the bank the biggest challenge is to safeguard growth expectations in the context of a possible global crisis. The most important problem is the crisis in the euro zone, the bank considers: “The cautiously optimistic outlook for emerging East Asia is subject to much greater downside risks now than just a few months ago… The global economic recovery could flounder if the euro zone and the U.S. fall back into recession, causing another global financial crisis.” For the first times in seven days Asia stocks fell because Standard & Poors put 15 European nations in watch for ratings downgrade. Some Asian countries have announced strategies and fiscal stimulus to spur the economy.
