iBanker Financial Software
iTrends Software is a Nigerian software company operating in Lagos. Its most important development is iBanker, a financial management program that includes special features for African communities. iTrends is accepting applications for free licenses to use the software which will be available to twelve Nigerian microfinance corporations. They will not have to pay the software license fees but they will be responsible for the training and implementation costs. The standard software license costs US $16,900, and the implementation costs US $3,640. Mark Melton, the chief executive officer of iTrends says that he hopes that “the savings from this free license will be used to better service the poor, by offering affordable services such as low interest microloans”.
