Unlike other Private equity funds general investment strategy, Kandeo´s investment strategy is focused exclusively on investing in companies that offer financial services to the base of the population pyramid.
The targeted industry was carefully selected through an internal study that evaluated industries with the greatest growth trends in the region and countries that presented economic and political stability. Additionally, industries where entry barrier permitted large conglomerates to enter at any given point in time where discarded.
Another factor that was considered in the evaluation was that the targeted industries would permit a consolidation play and also have a measurable social impact.
Kandeo is a fund that takes an active role in the operational execution of its investments.
As part of its active role, Kandeo implements a proprietary scorecard tool and assigns a fully dedicated Kandeo manager to the acquired company that will be responsible for generating daily, weekly and monthly key performance indicators reports that shall permit the other Kandeo team member to interact with the senior management of the acquired.
